Ugly Rugly is a Brooklyn-based home goods brand founded by married duo Lauren and Cole Hansen. They use unconventional textile methods to produce playful and cheerful objects, including coiled rugs, baskets, and placemats. Cole imported a tufting machine and learned to make high-quality rugs, while Lauren does all of the sewing. Ugly Rugly is committed to exploring fair domestic and overseas manufacturing and hopes to grow into a workshop where they can share their love of textiles and making with others.
